We understand how frustrating it is when your photo is rejected, especially if you see other photos on Hornet that seem more explicit. We want to reassure you that moderation is not personal. All photos are reviewed according to our Guidelines, and the same rules apply to everyone.
Here are the real reasons why you may see a photo that appears “worse” than yours:
- The photo hasn’t been moderated yet: Photos appear on Hornet immediately after upload. They are reviewed shortly afterward, so you might see a violating photo before our moderation team reaches it. If it has been visible for more than an hour, another reason may apply.
- The photo was approved by mistake: Our moderators are human, and mistakes can happen. Occasionally, a photo that should have been rejected slips through. If you believe a photo violates our guidelines, please report it so it can be reviewed again.
- The photo is a borderline case: Some images fall into a grey area. We try to be consistent, but some decisions involve judgment, and different moderators may interpret borderline images differently. If you want us to take another look, please report the photo.
For detailed steps on how to report a photo on Hornet, please read this article.
Please remember that seeing a “worse” photo on Hornet does not guarantee that your photo will be approved. If it violates our guidelines, we must reject it to maintain a safe environment for everyone. If you’re unsure why your photo was rejected, please review our Guidelines or read this article.
