Hornet, the digital home of 25 million guys worldwide, is the very first gay app to bring curated LGBTQ video content into the feed. It’s yet another step forward in allowing queer men to easily connect to their community, anytime and anywhere. By including content in the Hornet experience — which users can like, comment on and share — Hornet makes it fun and easy for you to showcase your true self and thus make more meaningful connections.

To kick off Hornet video in the feed, we’re working with the San Francisco International LGBTQ Film Festival Frameline, which kicks off today and runs through June 30. Celebrating LGBTQ film with 60,000 attendees in the Bay Area, it’s the world’s largest and longest running LGBTQ film festival, and this year’s Frameline43 slate includes 59 films screening for the first time in the United States, 22 world premieres and eight international premieres.

Hornet is the exclusive home of Frameline43’s festival reel, with cameos by the Bay Area’s queer royalty, including drag queens, politicians and literary heroes — which you’re able to watch on Hornet’s YouTube channel and, more importantly, inside the app on the Hornet Feed.

Moreover, Hornet will be sharing trailers and short films from this year’s festival, plus year-round content — including full-length films — curated alongside Frameline. Those will be mixed in with music videos, film trailers, web series and original Hornet video content.

Best of all, Hornet users can also submit their own videos to be featured in the Hornet Feed!

Do you have your own web series, music video or other fun video content currently residing on YouTube? You can head here to submit your video to our editorial team. Editors moderate those user submissions to curate video content that is fun and engaging but also lets fellow users connect with the larger community.

(You can find more info about the type of video content suitable for the Hornet Feed in the Hornet Creators Playbook.)
