Sasha Velour Is Collaborating With Opening Ceremony at NYC Fashion Week

RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Sasha Velour is collaborating with Opening Ceremony for the hip label’s spring-summer 2019 show next month at New York Fashion Week.

Opening Ceremony designers Carol Lim and Humberto Leon say the show, called ‘the Gift of Showz.’ will be “a live spectacle celebrating of the art of drag — both in New York and around the world.”

Velour, who snatched victory in Season 9, teased the collab on Instagram, hinting there will be some surprise celebs sashying down the runway.

“So excited to announce I’m collaborating with @openingceremony for their New York Fashion Week showcase on September 9!” Velour posted on Instagram. “‘The Gift of Showz’ will be a celebration of the art (and fashion) of drag, featuring appearances and performances from special guests (you’re gonna flip!!), and the debut of Opening Ceremony’s Spring 2019 Collection. Stay tuned for video and photos galore, plus many more surprises”
